This collection is a little late due to a silly personal injury. But better late than never.

April 9th:

bouquets of fluffy white clouds blossom

against green firs and skeletal

branches - the sad tears of frost,

the happy tears of warmth;

dainty pale petals

that herald the

coming of

Spring and

hope.

The prompt for this poem was to write a nonet. It was inspired by all of the blossoming ornamental pear trees. They may be considered invasive, but they are still pretty.

April 10th:

the forecast was threatening precipitation pouring;

but I bumped my head and couldn’t get up the next morning,

I can’t think straight,

so my poem is late,

I wish the hanging light fixture came with a warning.

A silly limerick, because I did bump my head on the 10th.
