My next small batch of poems for National Poetry Writing Month. A little late because I am recovering from a head bump and headache.

April 11th:

dark clouds flash

dauntingly at the horizon,

the wind picks up,

the storm races

across miles of sky

I thought I would have more time

before the storm is above my head

The prompt for this poem was to write about something large. Deadlines sure on looming on my horizon and they seem huge.

April 12th:

Ode to Glitter:

tiny sparkly confetti

sprinkled over faces

and art projects;

a rainbow of glitter

reflecting sunlight

and fluorescent light bulbs

in equally beautiful flashes of color,

oh glitter you spread

joy in my life

The prompt for this poem was to write about something small.
